Anno 2070

I’ve recently been playing a lot of open-ended, open-world, non-linear games. Like Skyrim (whilst arguably linear, as soon as I got out of the dungeon, I just walked off in a random direction, leaving Ralof rather worried), or Saints Row the Third. I still kept up my staple diet of minecraft of course, but I recently wanted something with a bit more graphical fidelity. Cue god-complex games like Sim City and this one I stumbled onto, Anno 2070. Anno 2070′s hit the spot with me, letting me setup trade routes, cities, and just enough freedom to make myself aware that I’d be a terrible City Planner and Civil Engineer.

It’s got a great soundtrack though to accompany the ecological disaster that is my city at present, and I’m itching to try the co-op mode. For now though, it’s sating an itch with my gaming habits I never realised I had, and I’m loving it.

Not loving the ubisoft connect rubbish though.
